About the Role
The Key Account Manager is entrusted with managing and nurturing relationships with Bark’s most important clients. The primary objective is to drive revenue growth, increase customer satisfaction, and ensure the client's ongoing loyalty. The role holds immense importance, as they both manage a substantial portfolio of revenue and convert new business trials into fixed-term contracts.
With their exceptional collaboration skills, they foster strong partnerships internally and externally, using their commercial acumen to drive the financial success and growth of both the clients and Bark.
Responsibilities
- Drive overall portfolio revenue growth.
- Work closely with Account Executives to ensure a smooth and effective handover of client ownership during the trial phase, providing a seamless transition and continuity of exceptional service.
- Analyse trial results, handle objections, and successfully sign new business trials into fixed-term contracts.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to key accounts, going above and beyond to maximise their ROI and strengthen client satisfaction.
- Focus on growth and retention strategies for our biggest clients, implementing initiatives to increase their lifetime value and foster long-term partnerships.
- Maintain strong internal communication channels with both sales leadership and the marketing team, providing regular updates on client performance, potential opportunities, and expected lead volumes/spend to ensure effective collaboration and alignment.
- Collect and analyse client disposition data, providing valuable insights to support marketing initiatives and drive Bark's commercial success.
- Conduct regular business reviews with key accounts, presenting performance metrics, identifying areas of improvement, and proposing strategic recommendations.
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within key accounts, leveraging Bark's product offerings to meet client needs and increase Bark revenue.
- Work closely with key partners to successfully re-sign them for further fixed-term contracts, ensuring a stable and consistent pipeline of revenue for Bark.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in Key Account Management or a similar customer-facing role within a sales environment.
- Strong track record of building and maintaining successful client relationships, driving growth, and achieving revenue targets.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on delivering excellent client experiences.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to collect, analyse, and interpret data to drive informed decision-making.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Proactive and results-oriented approach, with the ability to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Strong collaboration skills, working effectively with cross-functional teams, including Account Executives, marketing, and other internal stakeholders.
- Knowledge of the sales and marketing landscape, including key industry trends, best practices, and competitive dynamics.
