About the Role
As a Account Executive at Bark, you’ll be a key driver of our growth, taking ownership of high-value accounts and playing a critical role in expanding our customer base. This role goes beyond traditional sales—you’ll leverage your experience to drive strategic sales cycles, close complex deals, and mentor junior team members. You’ll be instrumental in refining sales processes, identifying new revenue opportunities, and contributing to Bark’s overall success.

Responsibilities
- Drive New Business Growth: Proactively prospect, qualify, and close new business opportunities, expanding Bark’s customer base with mid-market and enterprise-level clients.
- Lead Strategic Sales Cycles: Manage the full sales process from lead generation to deal closure, navigating complex negotiations and tailoring solutions to client needs.
- Deliver High-Impact Product Demos: Conduct engaging and persuasive product demonstrations, clearly articulating Bark’s value proposition and ROI to key decision-makers.
- Develop and Maintain Key Relationships: Build strong, long-term relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor and ensuring ongoing satisfaction and retention.
- Mentor and Support Junior Team Members: Act as a leader within the sales team, sharing best practices, coaching colleagues, and helping drive overall team performance.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to enhance the sales process and improve the overall customer experience.
- Exceed Sales Targets: Consistently achieve or surpass revenue goals, contributing to the company’s ambitious growth trajectory.
- Provide Market Insights: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to refine sales strategies and capitalize on new opportunities.
- Accurately Manage Sales Pipeline: Maintain up-to-date records in CRM systems, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proven Sales Success: 3-5 years of experience in tech sales, preferably in a high-growth SaaS or marketplace environment, with a strong track record of exceeding targets.
- Strategic Sales Expertise: Ability to lead complex sales cycles, negotiate high-value deals, and engage senior stakeholders effectively.
- Exceptional Relationship Building: Strong ability to establish trust, rapport, and long-term partnerships with clients across various industries.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Clear, concise, and persuasive verbal and written communication, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders.
- Results-Oriented Mentality: A strong drive to exceed goals, take initiative, and continuously improve performance.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce, ZoomInfo, or similar platforms.
- Adaptability & Problem-Solving: Ability to navigate a fast-paced, evolving environment and find creative solutions to customer challenges.
- Leadership Potential: Interest in coaching and mentoring junior sales professionals to support team development and performance.
