About the Role
This is a new role driving performance marketing experimentation to ensure Bark.com maintains its competitive advantage in a changing digital landscape. Bark.com utilises cutting edge approaches in performance marketing to drive acquisition & retention of our consumers (buyers) & professionals (sellers) in our two sided marketplace. The successful candidate will work closely with Bark.com performance marketing, insight, product & engineering teams, and 3rd parties (including Google specialist teams) to identify incremental growth opportunities via marketing.
We require a technical & analytical individual who has significant experience in marketing experimentation and different measurement & attribution solutions, in particular for Google & Bing advertising platforms. With this experience, they will drive A/B experimentation with the performance marketing team, using optimal measurement methodologies to understand incrementality of marketing activity. Whilst core channel focus will be Google & Bing Paid Search, Bark.com is expanding their marketing channel mix and measuring the incremental impact of non-Paid Search activity (especially in Paid Social, Affiliates, SEO & Affiliates) will be crucial to understand where to focus budgets & effort.
Responsibilities
- Own performance marketing test & learn backlog, and prioritisation process
- Propose & develop experiments with wider Performance Marketing team, working with internal & external teams (e.g. Google gTech) to identify incremental growth opportunities
- Set up, execute & optimise performance marketing experiments. Analyse outcomes & provide recommendations
- Create and test proof-of-concept solutions, working closely with Performance Marketing, Insight, Product & Engineering teams - that allows Bark.com to test, learn & iterate new approaches & technologies at pace
- Own performance marketing measurement & attribution methodology, and experimentation framework
Required Skills and Experience
- Google Ads
- Especially how you would run experiments to test different hypotheses & strategies
- Attribution
- In depth understanding of different measurement & attribution methodologies (multi-touch attribution, geo-lift studies, & increment ality studies), their benefits & limitations. Trade offs for which methodology to use in each circumstance
