About the Role
Bark has an existing affiliate program but we are just scratching the surface of its potential. We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated affiliates and partnerships professional who will be responsible for forging and developing relationships with new and existing affiliate partners, and growing the corresponding business volume on a national and international basis.
Responsibilities
- Support Senior Affiliate Manager with the long term affiliate and partnership strategy for the UK and US/North American market, as well as inputting into wider global strategy
New business:
- Reach out to prospective partners, conduct sales calls and build business cases where you identify and negotiate mutually beneficial terms.
- Build and execute best-in-class go-to-market plans to acquire new affiliates and partnerships through research, referrals, networking, cold calling, data feeds and emails.
Account management:
- Build effective growth plans, set goals, KPIs, budgets, and project future performance inline with Bark’s business planning processes
- Conduct bi-weekly / monthly calls with key accounts
- Manage platform and agency relationships to maximize program effectiveness and growth across both existing and new suppliers as required
- Optimize affiliates/partner experiences throughout their journeys with Bark to ensure activation, scale activity, and deliver return-on-investment (ROI)
- Ensure lead quality is maintained at all times and that Bark has the necessary mechanisms in place to detect and act on any fraudulent activity
Internal management:- Input into value proposition and product development definition and delivery to ensure that the affiliates/partnership program in the US and internationally is fit-for-purpose and continually innovating
- Educate and gain buy-in for plans amongst internal teams to gain the necessary support and resources to move plans forward in an accurate and timely manner
- Develop scalable affiliate/partnership processes and ensure team members adhere to them
- Stay current with trends in affiliate/partnership marketing and identify new opportunities for Bark to take advantage
Required Skills and Experience (add desirable skills if necessary)
- Track record of building and scaling an affiliate and partnership program in the US/North American market
- Experience of working within a global marketing structure
- Ability to build and maintain strong and effective relationships with platforms/ agencies
- Strong understanding of digital channels and how customers interact with these through their purchase journeys
- Analytical skills: use of data-driven reports to spur coaching sessions and empower team members to take ownership of their opportunity pipelines. Understand pricing, margins, and discounting impacts
- Self starting, high achieving, ambitious, and results-oriented
- Innovative, generating original solutions and lots of ideas
- Decisive and comfortable making decisions quickly
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Ability to prioritize and effectively manage time
