About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Payment Dispute Analyst with 1–2 years of hands-on experience managing payment disputes on platforms such as Stripe and PayPal.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling chargebacks, submitting compelling evidence, analyzing dispute trends, identifying repeat offenders, and helping minimize revenue loss due to fraudulent or high-risk transactions.
Responsibilities
Manage and respond to payment disputes and chargebacks through Stripe and PayPal dashboards.
Prepare and submit strong evidence packages within the required timelines.
Challenge invalid disputes effectively to improve win rates.
Analyze dispute trends, root causes, and transaction patterns.
Identify repeat disputers, fraudsters, and high-risk customers.
Raise red flags on suspicious activity and recurring spammers/defaulters.
Maintain dispute trackers, documentation, and internal reports.
Collaborate with Customer Support, Finance, and Risk teams to prevent future disputes.
Suggest process improvements to reduce chargeback ratios and financial losses.
Monitor KPIs such as dispute rate, win rate, and refund ratio.
Required Skills & Qualifications
1–2 years of experience handling payment disputes/chargebacks.
Practical experience working with Stripe and PayPal dispute management systems.
Strong understanding of chargeback reason codes (fraud, service not received, unauthorized, etc.).
Experience preparing documentation such as:
Proof of delivery
Customer communication logs
Refund policies
IP logs & transaction history
