About the Role
*Please note you must be based in Spain to be considered for this fully remote role.
Bark is looking for a Senior SEO Manager to join our Performance Marketing team. We aren't looking for a consultant to sit on the sidelines and write reports; we need a hands-on builder who lives for execution.
Focused primarily on our UK, US, and AU markets, you will be the driving force behind our organic growth. You’ll be responsible for taking strategy off the page and into production, working directly with our product and engineering teams to ship changes that move the needle. If you have a "roll up your sleeves" attitude and are already leveraging AI agents and agentic workflows to outpace the competition, this is your role.
Responsibilities
Execute & Implement: Move beyond the audit. You’ll be responsible for the actual delivery of SEO initiatives, from keyword mapping to technical site changes.
Agentic SEO Workflows: You don't just use LLMs; you build with them. You will use AI agents, Claude Code, and MCP (Model Context Protocol) to automate content production, technical analysis, and data retrieval.
Future-Proof Search: Lead our strategy for the shifting search landscape. This includes Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO) and developing robust tracking for LLM visibility in AI-driven search results.
Content Scaling: Lead a "quality at scale" content engine for our core English-speaking markets (UK, US, AU). You’ll identify opportunities and work with the team to get high-converting, authoritative content live and ranking.
Scale Through Automation: You don’t just manage content; you build the engine. You will design and implement automated workflows using AI for content production, analysis, and performance tracking to ensure we stay lean and fast.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: You won't just "advise" Product, Engineering, and Design - you’ll be working alongside them, ensuring SEO requirements are integrated into every sprint and deployment.
Technical Ownership: Identify, fix, and enhance site elements in real-time. You understand how to turn technical requirements into live site improvements.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a high-performing content team of 3 based in India. You’ll lead by example, showing them what "good" looks like through direct action. Experience managing remote teams is a significant plus.
Required Skills and Experience
Proven experience as a Senior SEO Manager (5-8 years’ experience) with hands-on experience.
An expert with Google Search Console (GSC) and Tableau. Experience with seoClarity is a plus.
You have a strong and demonstrable understanding of AI search and have ideas on how to track and win in an LLM-dominated environment.
Experienced in using AI agents, Claude Code, and MCP agents to solve complex SEO problems, automate repetitive tasks, and connect disparate data sources.
Deep understanding of Technical SEO - crawl budget, site architecture, hreflang, XML sitemaps and internal linking at scale.
Experience building content at scale with the support of content writers and AI.
Strong writing abilities - with a strong understanding of EEAT, Google’s Search Quality Rater Guidelines and modern search best practices.
Experience with multi-language and multi-geo SEO. Marketplace and programmatic SEO is a plus.
Strong communicator who can turn complex technical problems into understandable and digestible initiatives for senior stakeholders.
